On the back part of the bed, passenger side. Pain in the ass part was getting the coax cable through the grommet on the back of the cab.

A 2' antenna works great and matches the factory antenna height.

But yes, I'm going to put it in the console. My solution is to cut out the bottom of it with a Dremel, and mount it to a piece of metal cut out to fit on the bottom . I'm trying to avoid any bolt, or screw heads from sticking out.

But for now, I just partially close the center console when I'm using the CB.

 

Use the space below the ac controls, dremel out the back so it fits flush. Which cb did you go with?

 

You got a small one like the uniden 520xl? I can fit it a couple different ways in there.

I really want to try to keep things like that out of sight. That way, I can pull the microphone out when I need it and not give someone reason to break in. I only really keep a pad of paper and pen in the center console, so it's always empty.

I went with this one. A friend gave it to me after my small one crapped out on me:

 

No. It's a big cobra one (see pic above). It doesn't fully fit in the console, and sticks out about 2".
