What the fuck. That looks sketchy as fuck..
Doing the PA system as well? The only thing I wouldn't like would be having to open the console just to say something, or keeping it open to listen.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
When I get the channel and squelch set, it's pretty set it, and forget it to me.

Since I have a automatic, I have a small speaker setup in the little cubby hole to the right of the steering wheel. I ran the cable from there to along side the center console. I'll probably remove the plastic, and tuck the cable under there. But yes, I will mount a PA speaker under the hood and run it to the CB. I'm just waiting until I do my aux fuse panel for that so I can run all the cables at once.

Make your own, you don't need an aux fuse panel. Use some small buss bar and order it to length. This website is pretty good, tell them 1/8" thick, 3/4" wide and 8" long or so. Add a 12v constant bar from the battery and 12v switched bar from the fuse panel. Drill holes in the bar and lug it up.

Properly fuse it and tighten everything, use relays for anything over 15 amps, silcone the connections and you will be good.
