They did the same thing from 13 to '14. the '14 brochure shows the auto dim mirror with temp and compass, with subtitle showing 'obtw this is a '13' which misled many imo.
Unless you see it in the vehicle, it ain't real.
Do they offer the auto-dim mirror in '15's?? Is there a temp/compass optiion or are we waiting for the '16s?

(anyway gotta love the display audio even with the clock; my '12 has the old style non-touch screen radio....)

(Made in Tiajuana on the Ca. border; first batches are just trucked up the coast for earliest availability)

'13 FTW! They have the display audio touch screen radio, the separate clock in the dash, and the auto dim mirror with temp/compass.

    A few.
Just saw a 2015 at my local dealer. It was a 4 cylinder 5 speed. Had a SR package, is this new for 2015? Package was $750. and included blacked out aluminum wheels and smoked headlights and color matched bumpers and mirrors.

It's about time, I'm always looking at the radio to try and find the clock. That pre-2015 clock has got to be at least 15 model years old.

I guess I'm the only one that actually likes the clock. I like looking down and quickly knowing what time it is without having to scan my nav system.

I agree with you, I don't like that new look at all with the clock, and I don't need yet another "Tacoma" emblem, the truck has enough of those as it is.

I hate that Tacoma emblem. I already know I'm in a Tacoma!!!

They could make better use of that space, but they just cheaped out and put a 3 cent emblem there.

Just out of curiosity, can someone tell how tall that space is, and if that plastic trim piece is likely removable, replaceable?

I think if they cheaped out they would've put nothing in there to replace the clock and just have the black plastic.

They chose to add in the cost of the emblem.

If someone was really industrious maybe they could swap in the prior gen 4Runner's trip computer, but no telling if all the required signals for the proper data points are available.

That would be sweet if they put an ESPN rolling score-center thing there.

Hmm, I wonder if my new truck will have any of those features. It is titled as a 2014, but it was purchased only a few weeks ago before actually being built. It was just unloaded off a boat down in the Bay Area.

Excited to actually be participating on this forum with a Tacoma and not just a pickup ha ha.

Hey guys, I've been trolling TW for the last 8 months, I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a taco. Today was the first time ever driving one it was a 2015 AC 2.7L auto 4x4 with SR package. My first impressions were great truck all around, but it felt slightly underpower in overdrive. Which rearend ratio do they put in the 4x4 AC? OD felt really tall for a 4 cyclinder vehicle. Do these numbers sound the same to previous years?

    1600rpm rpm@55mph
    2100rpm@70mph

Compared to my current car which is scion tc 2.4L w/4 speed auto at 70mph the engine is running at 2900rpm.

I might consider going with the v6 DC instead.
