Oh and my knee jerk reaction to bump possibly being limited by the shock before the bumpstop is to cycle first, then setup shocks and bumps and weld LAST!

But then I realize maybe this was a compete kit with shock hoops and bump cans and your fabricator is working around the confines of the stock bed wheel wells and doing the best he can to fit everything in there?

You can get 1" shorter fox lower rod ends that will shorten the shocks overall collapsed/extended length and give you an inch more shaft travel at bump.

To swap you need shock shaft clamps for a vice to hold the shaft and spin off the rod end, if it won't spin off heat the rod end up a little with a torch. If your fab guy doesn't have shaft clamps you can wrap the shaft in a split open inner tube, wrapped it around tight a few times and clamp in a vise

Was looking for a shorter rad cuz clearance issues. No worries may make mine work. Ordered a cheap 3.0 from summit and it doesn't look like the right one. That's what I get for not looking closer at it when it came.

I guess that depends on your situation. Doesn't make any sense for me.

I work from home so don't really need a vehicle during the day. I have AAA Platinum to get the truck back to the shop and the shop has a fleet of Scions as loaners. If they didn't have loaners, a rental car for 20 days in a year is far cheaper than buying a 2nd car, and paying insurance each month for me.

You tell them anything other than offroad parts. Thats a red flag to insurance companies.

My truck is an upgraded payment pounding show truck to them.

does anyone know how one would go about getting this plated in CA? obviously stock smog and tank would be necessary for smog, but then just a light and horn inspection or what?
