-Assuming Rock Therapy is the last weekend in May-

I started looking at dates for moab next year. I figured out my schedule for work during that time and i'll have May 27 & 28 off, then June 5-8 off. So if I take off May 26, 29, 30, 31, June 1, 2, 3, 4, I'll have a total of 14 days off from work.

    - I would like to camp a night in Rocky Mountain National Park on the way.

    - I would like to wheel the Kokopelli trail.
The Kokopelli Trail is a 142 mile multi-use trail that goes from Loma, Colorado to Moab, Utah.
    http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/moab/recreation/mountain_bike_trails/kokopelli_s_trail.html

I'm planning on leaving early May 26, drive as far as I can, spend the night somewhere, then drive to RMNP and spend the night there on May 27. Then May 28 leave RMNP early and head for Loma, CO and start the Kokopelli trail. Depending on how long it takes us to finish the trail we might make it to Moab on May 29 or 30. We would catch the rest of Rock Therapy the 30th and 31st, then we could run some trails June 1 & 2 if we want. Then I'm thinking about heading north to the Uinta mountains of Utah where there are lots of 4 wheel drive trails and camp grounds. Hopefully camp at Mirror Lake. Then drive home June 5, 6, 7, with a day to recover before going back to work.

Plans are tentative and will be subject to change. Looking to see how the other "Otters" feel about this. I know it would be nice to make it in time for the start of Rock Therapy instead of a couple days late, so running the Kokopelli Trail in reverse on the way home would be an option , then instead of camping in the Uintas, we could explore Colorado. Maybe run the trails outside of Ouray, CO.

I'm down for that! I get 7 paid days next year and I can take off more I just won't get paid. Kokopelli trail sounds like a badass plan.

Question will we be able to get through some of the la sal mountain range that early in the season.
I'm assuming ouray would still have snow on the trails but that's just a thought

Snow could be an issue... Good point Steve. We'll have to find a way to check on that.

Snow will definitely be an issue, I know one of the trails didn't get plowed until late June or early July this year.

    :spy: for Moab plans.
