    Hello
    subject truck: 2005 Tacoma 4x4
OME suspension kit heavy kit vs light load kit?

which kit is better, is the heavy kit going to ride harsh, I assume stiffer?

someone recommended go with heavy, but I am not sure which is better.

    my Tacoma is completely stock

    thanks

OME 885x , OME shocks and Dakars , Wheelers SuperBumps front and rear , 275/70/17 Hankook ATm , OEM bed mat , Weathertech digifit floor liners , Weathertech in-channel vents , headache rack , Leer 100RCC commercial canopy , TRD bedside decals removed , Devil Horns by Andres , HomerTaco Satoshi
The heavy kit is the 886 coils designed to be used with a steel aftermarket bumper and winch , the light load kit is usually the 885 coils designed to handle less additional front load

Are you going to add a heavy bumper and winch ? and how much lift do you want ?

I have the 884s and got 2 1/4" in the front, I tow so I wanted more lift in the back.
885 can get you 2 1/2 to 3" in the front...
    the 884s ride great...

I have an 09 AC and I ordered the 885's, I plan on getting a winch and plate bumper at some point, But not for another year or so I figured I would see how it rides with the 885's, and I might upgrade after if it dips a lot in the front.

Old Man Emu suspension: 884x coils, Dakar leaf pack, Nitrocharger Sport shocks. Cruisin Offroad bolt-on sliders. Relentless Fabrication aluminum front and mid skid plates + steel transfer case skid. SnugTop Hi-Liner "Sportsman" canopy. Hella Rallye 4000i Xenon (flood beam).
If your truck is stock, it will sit very high with 885s and no additional weight in the front.

Oh well, too late. I'll just have to put a rush on getting a plate bumper and winch to even it out ;)

reading on some OME install posts...

    for a 2" lift
    - you need to change rear brake lines to a longer ones?
    - relocate front sway bar?

are this a must when installing a 2" OME suspension lift kit?

    - no , but if you are fully flexing your suspension it's not a bad idea

    - maybe , some people have the sway bar contacting the coil , some don't , they are cheap though so just do it
