From central Houston should I take 45 or 288?

Too poor to list anything interesting.

If leaving in the morning, 45 is good. If later, 288. But bring a few dollars for the toll from Surfside to SLP.

I'm taking 288 only because I like to cruise Surfside.

But you'll miss out on all of that glorious seawall seaweed smell.

There's still plenty of it down at surfside. I was down there fishing this morning breathing it all in. Nothing like the smell of trout and seaweed while the suns comin up!

Top water lures. Had a few bites with TTF plastics in swan lake but it was just a little too windy for my liking so that's when decided to head over to the old intercoastal in drum bay where the water was pretty calm. Caught about 5 or 6 and biggest was probably about 21in or so.

yea, I'm a sucker for those Rapala Skitterwalks though. I love fishing with them in the fall and having a school of reds blow one up. I'm going to definitely miss the saltwater these next two semesters :(
