Thanks, the reviews look pretty good. All of them are saying you don't need to tune it right out of the package. I cut about 12" off the top of mine and it still needs some more tuning.

 

One of my guys at work does competition radio (didn't know there was such a thing) and he recommended it. I'll get him to tune my SWR.

He also sent me a video on illegal mod for the CB to increase the TX power...but I don't think I'll be needing more than 4w.

You have to solder on the circuit board and it will be model dependent

 

Wonder if that works for all radios.

 

Or you can get your HAM radio licence and run those things.

Yeah, late getting to this. I had it on my 09, and it was fixed under the TSB. Sounds like a kazoo... Ended up taking them a couple days to get it done, but that was due to them trying to do what the TSB said, and patch the seal, then when it looked like shtit, they actually brought in a glass person to reseal the whole thing. Kazoo free since 2010!.

 

Okey-dokey, just recalled some discussion on it here. Personally I would not trust a non-synth fluid to go 100K, but that is a personal thing, not necessarily grounded in reality though.....
