I did some off roading with jeeps last weekend. One of them blew up a front locker and his engine, and 2 others blew radiator hoses. It was comical for us toyota guys there.

Driving pretty fast in a wash/forest road and hit a deep rut or hole or something. Nothing appears to be broken besides the fender, I just didn't see it in the dark when i moved over for a jeep heading the other way.

My alignment is fine and everything looks good so i think I'm just not going to worry about it. Time for glass!! :D

Edit: I'm actually shocked that my suspension went that far before bottoming out. I mean its not like my LCA could have flexed, my lower ball joint bracket would have broken before anything like that. Since nothing especially the lower ball joint bracket looks bent/broken I dont think anything is damaged besides the fender.

yep, thats all that could have done it. My tires stick out past my fenders and so when my suspension bottomed out the tread smashed it

A grinder would be faster but a sawzall with a good blade will work if you don't have a grinder.

Is it best to wire a cb radio directly to the battery or an I tap in anywhere with power?

I am putting in the ashtray spot and saw the little light hanging there. Was thinking it would be pretty simple to just cut the light and wire it to that. Bad idea?

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
You want the cleanest power possible for your CB or you'll get interference. It's even better to run both the + and - directly from the battery.

I wired mine via fuse tap, seems to work fine for my needs, but may end up going direct to battery to see if there is a difference.

I've had mine on a fuse tap to the accesories fuse so it turns on and off with the car. Never had a problem.

When my old radio was acting up, I tried wiring it striaght to the battery (both positive and negative) and it didn't change a damn thing. So the new one is back to the fuse tap. The only interference I ever get is when I adjust my power mirrors. So, unless you're adjusting your mirrors while trying to listen to someone on the CB, I'd say you're fine not going to the battery.
