hmmm...check ebay for sub enclosures. Most of them are for 10" and doubles, but every now and then I see a 12"

You should also PM user MrMarv and see what he can do for you. He makes very nice enclosures.

I agree that MrMarv can make you the enclosure, the problem you are going to face is mounting depth. Most 10's are very close to being too deep, so finding a 12 will be a bit of a challenge. I think you have about 5.5" to work with back there.

Due to the brace across the rear wall a 12" sub will not work without serious modification and I personally would not suggest cutting that support.

Out of curiousity Marv, would a 12" with a 4-5" mounting depth and about a 4" magnet fit? Also for the subs I am thinking about we would need .75ft as well.

It's the height of the rear brace that causes the problem so even shallow mount 12's won't work. :(

You could invert them and just have your seats down all the time!

I thought that I had seen some 12" subs installed.

I know I've seen one, but that required moving the back seat forward a few inches.

    Now that work! :D

I've seen one where the guy did in fact cut the brace.

Unfortunately the height of the brace in relation to the angle of the enclosure negates the possibility of using any 12 (the basket will hit the notch built into the enclosure even with the shallowest 12's). :(

Funny thing is after some prodding from a couple of members ;) who really wanted 12's I experimented over the weekend and did in fact figure out how to make a slight modification in the enclosure design to get that exact 12" sub to fit :D. Now I must take back part of what I have said and mention that I CAN get CERTAIN 12's to fit WITHOUT cutting the rear brace. :) If anyone has other 12 inch shallows they'd like to see me try to fit just let me know.

I think something else should be mentioned. With such little room in these trucks it seems to me that some of you want a 12" just because you can. IMO some of the shawwlow mount subs lack the sonics to compete with traditional designs....of course not all and the shallows are getting better all the time. Another thing to remember is the extra airspace required for the 12" compared to a 10". Depending on your amplifiers of choice I think you sacrafice room to make the 12" work. I personally use some pretty big amps and it was tight to make the 2 10's work in my truck. If I decided on a 12", it would be just that...a single driver. I would take 2 10's over a single 12 all day long. Now of course if I was using something like the Alpine PDX amps it would be a different story. With that guys, before you decide to go with 12" drivers keep in mind you still have to mount your amps somewhere and if they arent the size of the PDX amps I think alot of you are going to be in trouble getting more than one driver in there. My $.02
