I've got an 06 with 35999 miles and has been out of warranty (36 mo) since October 08. I took it in (before knowing the in-service date) trying to get the TSB done..... they told me I was already out of warranty and said they'd see what they could do. Got a response today: we'll do a 50 50 split with you. Seems like an OK deal, but I cant afford it right now.

I'm going to talk to them one more time, but I'm guessing my truck will remain 3-leafed and stock. Any suggestions to give me leverage are appreciated!

Why not just get an Add-a-leaf and call it a day? Those run about $75. You can get a full leaf pack which would be far superior then the TSB for $400-600.

Thanks for the responses. I feel better knowing that if I ever do haul weight on a regular basis its not going to cost too much to stiffen the rear end.

I was looking forward to the 5100's, but I can't complain about the truck as-is.... Just looking for the free upgrade.

I'd look at an aftermarket option before paying $800+ for this. I had it done under warranty and saw the bill-it was a little over $1600 for parts & labor which is absolutely insane.

Yep. I still remember when we had a motor replaced under warranty (for knocking) in a '96 Quest. I think we paid about $17k for the thing. The engine replacement was 11k. Nuts. Dealer service prices are crazy.

The Bilstein HD shocks come with the TSB, not the 5100s. I would do as others have mentioned and go with an aftermarket leaf pack. some 5100s in the rear with compliment a leaf pack pretty well on a daily driver.
