See if you can pull the sides down below the edge of the bed. Rain at an angle might be able to sneak in.

Good call. I was worried pulling the straps too tight because I didn't want to rip the stitches out.

Hi Everyone- New on here, just got my 05 Tacoma a few weeks back. The truck over all is in pretty good shape, IMO, for ten years old. However, there were some simple things I could do to help it along by removing some signs of wear.

So today I first removed the mud flaps, at least what was left of them. The fronts were completely torn off except for the area where they mount in the wheel well. The driver side rear flap also looked like someone left a clothes iron on it.

The seller had the car detailed, and with it the headlights were buffed out to remove some of the haze on them. They looked okay, but still noticeable. So the second thing I did was remove the haze. I tried a new product, Wipe New head light restorer. I have to say that I am quite impressed with it. All I had to do was wet sand for about an hour and wipe on their product. The product takes 24hrs to cure all the way and forms a hard, clear, protective outer layer. I for sure recommend this to anyone.

My phone had a bit of trouble picking up some of the haziness me facing west with the sun going down. I was okay with it before, as it was not all that bad. However, now that I am done it is night and day!
