Kinda looks like an 80 series non-elocker rear to me.

Ding ding, its out of a 1997 with less miles than my 2002 lol!!

I was going to swap discs in the rear, read up on these axles and realized its a better bang for the buck to do the fj-80 rear axle swap. Factory discs, no immediate need to swap out master cylinders, and a rear parking brake that will work with the tacos setup. Will i miss my elocker yes, BUT i also didn't want to get an elocker with an unknown history and have the cost of the swap instantly triple if the motor was F'ed.

Does anyone know of a decent Toyota dealer in the Chicagoland area? (And salesperson) I have had zero luck trying to find one that can help me out with a TRD Pro.

    Thanks

I had a written offer from Elgin Toyota and Schaumburg told me they would beat any price (without knowing what is was) needless to say they were not willing to once they saw it, same happened in St. Charles, so guess I got a good deal and bought it from Elgin Toyota. I do all maintenance myself never used toyota care.

I bought mine from Elgin too. I always do tons of research before buying and plenty of haggling to try and reach my goal number. I'm well aware that the dealer is always making money.... otherwise they wouldn't sell you anything. I was happy hitting my number without much effort at all. It was an easy deal.

Bought mine at Thomas Toyota in Joliet. Also bought my wife's Rav 4 there too. Never haggled on prices, especially on her car. The service department is good, did all my 25,000 mile oil changes there with no issues. The service manager is the only person I deal with. They installed my lift and did my alignment.

I bought mine from Toyota in Naperville, I wouldn't buy from there again. The only time my truck has been to the dealer after that was to have the supercharger installed so I could maintain the factory powertrain warranty. After calling roughly 15 dealers, Toyota of Elgin had the best price and provided me a car for no charge. The installation took two days and went well and I haven't had any problems for nearly 35k miles. All routine maintenance I do myself

I bought my first Tacoma from Thomas. Lol that's a hell of a story and a once in a lifetime experience... Basically, they fucked up with the numerical stickers they put on the windshield to advertise their price. The porter misplaced the numbers causing a roughly 5k mishap that they had to honor. That was a good day! :)

I went to Naperville to buy the Rav 4 nut the car had a missing sun roof switch and the sales rep wouldnt let me take the car for a test drive on our own. Went back to THOMAS and they let me take the car for the weekend. They did the sMe thing when I bought my Tacoma. Had it for 2 days before buying it.
