Actually, they fit pretty good. Crap cel, phone pic probably makes it look worse than it is. This is my 2nd taco and 2nd set of weather techs, I've been pretty happy with fitment of both sets. Although I've seen guys with horribly fitting weather techs. I've always ordered directly from the company, maybe that helps.

Why did you get them for the vinyl flooring? It's already a giant WeatherTech mat for you. I want the vinyl flooring so bad!

I take my dog to the beach every day and I have sand literally *everywhere* in the truck. WeatherTechs help keeping it contained somewhat. I had similar (possibly re-branded WeatherTech) mats from BMW in my X3 before and they fit like a glove.

So I plastidipped my front grille Toyota logo red last week, but did not like the shade of red. Decided to paint it. Got some primer and glossy red paint. Sanded, cleaned it, couple of coats of primer and put a coat of red. This stupid red paint says each coat needs to dry for 2-4 hours, so i just left it to dry overnight.

Went in this morning, sprayed another coat and realized that there was a whole bunch of microscopic hairs and dust that landed on it overnight and i sprayed right over that shit. Argh. Now it looks like shit.

What do i do? Do i need to strip everything and start over or can i just let it dry, wet sand it and paint over? Or should i stop being so anal and just let it be... Not like anyone is going to look at that emblem from super close distance... plus im going to get a Grillcraft grille at some point anyway.

I plastidipped all my emblems black, and then spray over it so it's a) still removable if I want to go OEM style later and b) no sanding/primer etc, paint adheres real easy to the dip.

Just finished the install of a pop and lock. Ran the wires up the passenger side and in under the passenger seat. I soldered them in at the connector at the kick panel. Quick disconnect right next to backup cam quick disconnect. All in all a good install....just had to deal with the Georgia Heat. No fun!!!

Sadly they have regular carpet padding under them so they will wick up any moisture and start to smell bad.

Cool feature and I'd love to have it, but engineering fail IMO. They should of used some sealed non-absorbent material for the padding and thrown some drain plugs in there :D

2-4 hours between coats is just crazy... Especially when doing a little job like that. What paint you using? I've always used plastikote. Duplicolor. Or krylon. 15 - 20 mins between coats. I would sand it down again, if there's still primer left on it whatever. As long as it's sanded smooth. Throw another coat of primer on and spray it with a paint that doesn't take so long to dry. Then you can just get it done with and not worry Bout it sitting there for hours getting covered in dust and whatnot. But that's just what I would do and I'm quite OCD lol.

I got sideswiped on Weds. and took my truck in for an estimate from a Toyota collision center today. They quoted $1500 and the previous non-brand affiliated insurance shop quoted out $1100 yesterday. The woman who hit me is totally at fault, admitted guilt (got it recorded), and I have dash cam footage of her hitting me. So I'm hoping to get a check pretty soon.

Took my truck into to get the oil changed and tires rotate and balance cause there was a wobble. Turns out, both upper and lower control arm ball joints are blown out. The UCA's are barely a year old. Now, the question is, what should I replace them with? The UCA's are Light Racing UCA's and the lower's are stock. I was quoted $1500 to replace both uppers and lowers but that seems like a lot when I can order and install them myself. Suggestions on what to use a replacements? I don't wanna get Light Racing UCA's again just to have them blow out within a year again.
