Just seeing this Ryan. I am not sure what the timing should be throughout the power band. I think my numbers on my sg are around what you mentioned. But then again, once you tune, those numbers aren't exactly right. The tune I currently am running has been great. VERY little ping if any at all. I could maybe pull a hair of retard out to get more power but I don't think it would really make a difference. And I love not having any ping. I find myself focusing on the 2-5 psi boost and 2000-2500 rpm area on the R4 tuning software. I pull almost 5 degrees in some of those areas. It's more than id like but I don't ping.

Wait, 100 to install lower ball joints? It's just 4 bolts, 2 castle nuts and 2 pullers required. (I hate using hammers to free tie rods). 1 hour tops for both sides. Just make sure new bolts are used and I use RED locktite with them.

Do them yourself, not really hard at all, I'd offer to help but it's a bit of a drive, though if you have plans to come to the peninsula anyway my driveway is open.

im curious what is the need for these 35" tires? i ran 33s for a while and it sucked.. less power more rubbing.. air down some 31s and unless you are climbing rocks or mudding, i see no benefit

I don't NEED them. If I can get another inch of ground clearance, why not? Ladies love that extra inch. I found a good deal on a set of 5 duratracs so I'm considering it. I've regeared and supercharged, so power loss isn't a big deal for me. I would be going from a 33" dynapro m/t, which have pulled me easily through every mud hole, sand hill, or rocky trail I've been on. I've gone through spots that jeeps and other vehicles got stuck in with boggers. Fantastic tires if you ask me so going to duratracs will be interesting.

So you're going to go from something you've never had problems with and are happy with to something with less performance and more strain on parts.

    Sounds legit.

It's either buy the tires for $675, buy a 4bt for $950, or more likely buy nothing from the dude. He needs cash and I have some truck mod money burning a hole in my pocket.

Well if you want to see why 35's are better than 33's or 31's you can fallow me on a few trails so you will understand. Bigger tires make for smaller obstacles. Also bigger tires add lift to the truck. Its not hard to understand.

^he gets it. I didn't need a supercharger, bumpers, a lift, or anything else I put on my truck. But then it's just another tacoma on the road.

Dura tracs are good tires I ran them for a while. No where as good as the GY MTR's. Going to 35's from 33's is VERY legit if he is seriously into off roading. I did and would never go back to 33's. One day when I sas my truck I will be running 37's. if your truck is a street queen and does not do any real off roading or just trail driving 33's are fine. But you can not compare the performance of 33's to 35's off road.

Get the tires. 35's off road are such a HUGE improvement. Ask any of us who are running 35's and did it for that reason. If you have re-geared then it makes even more sense.

4.56s won't help much and neither will the sc. 35s hog a LOT of power.

Honestly from what I have seen you don't wheel on stuff that needs them at all and the amount of work costs a lot more then just tires and is a lot of work.

You'll. have to regear again at least to 4.88s and tub the truck.

Not worth it in your current situation.

    And...cause durtracs suck :p

Like I said I don't need them. I'm not afraid of work so I thought it would be a fun project.

Yeah 4:56 will not cut it. I have 4:88 wish I went 5:29 but I am doing a dual case setup soon so it will all work out.

    Modding is half the fun.

i have an MT, 33s and 4.56 gears and I'm looking at getting the S/C for more oomph. I'm not even messing around with 35s until I'm ready to regear to at least 4.88.

I would sell the supercharger if I did the 4bt swap... It's the 4.5L so it's a beast of an engine.

I was apprehensive about 5.29s at first. But now. No way would I do 4.88s. I don't even feel the need for a crawl box. My first gear is damn slow. And 3k on the hwy isn't a big deal.
