That's what I had in mind I just wasn't sure I remembered how the dome lights behaved on my Tacoma. I know on my Optima they came on as you approach (proximity sensing key fob) and then after you lock it they stay on for a bit and then fade out. If that's the case I'll probably do the same on the Tacoma while I'm pulling wires into the doors anyway.

 

Now that is how I have been doing it for years.... thought I was the only one smart enough to figure it out.

Tie down loops for the cargo net, used existing drain holes.

Finished wiring up my switches.

 

What does the switches control? They look cool at night.

 

One is for interior LED lights. One for a power inverter and the last one for the 12v plugs in the rear.

 

Another freebie quickie before work.

 

Made an iphone holder, cupholder mount from an old spray paint cap. I choose the cupholder mount coz i dont want to drill into the console........ yet

I guess the cupholders in the automatic are useful for something...

 

This whole threat is absolutely awesome... So many great ideas. I will get some pics up of the penny-pincher mods i have. hopefully they give a little inspiration like some of these did.

Made another tool mount. Not very pretty but they are solid.





Had to make some end caps.
