Yeah I run 3K on the hwy at 70-75mph I think. I should have done the 5:29 I want off road performance and don't really care about on road..

 

I'm at 3300ish for 75 I think. Offroad is bitchen though with the 5.29s

 

That's it rub it in.

So this puller you guys are talking about is to seperate the tie rod correct? I watched a youtube video last night and it looks pretty damn easy. The guy used a small hammer to seperate the tie rod. I have monday off so I may just tackle this project myself if my buddy lets me use his air tools

 

4bt you say? Is that doable on an IFS front end? From what little i've read/seen on diesel swaps in Yotas is that the engine sometimes hits the front diff so a SAS is required for some applications. Could be different for the 4bt, that's just what i had seen on a couple diesel swaps people had done.

 

Use a pitman arm puller from Autozone or similar. Costs $15 to buy. I have the big one and the little one in the toolbox. Big one works great on the LBJ, the little works great for OTREs although people have said the big one works fine for both.

Put some torque on 'em then give the casting a kiss with a hammer and typically pop free.

I've seen the LowRangeOffRoad video and I've had several people tell me to just beat on them until they pop free. I've tried it and prefer not beating the shit out of something when I don't have to.

Got someones electrical in check

 

came into my shop today to start building a customers engine. But that didn't last long. Welded the bumper brackets and starting on the gussets..

 

Ordered 5 new LT265/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. (Time for a new spare too.)

Discount Tire's Pre-Labor Day Sale was good enough for me prep for winter...

 

Steering rack bushings replaced... Probably one of the more annoying mods I've done

Oh, and I jacked up the center nut points, so I probably will have to drill it out or something if I ever have to do it again.

 

Finally got one of these!

Put in K&N CAI. Had stock + deck plate mod before.

 

Noticeable difference?

 

Now you need LCE headers.
