Rogue Chipotle Ale

so i posted this in the food section but didn't get many views. has anyone tried this stuff? they use jalapeno's in it somehow. its not hot at all, it just has a smokey jalapeno flavor during the finish. if it weren't $5 a bottle i'd drink it all the time. most unique beer i think i've ever had. of course anything rogue makes is always insanely good

 

Definitely unique, but I didn't much care for it, though I had it at a party and not with a meal. The first bit was amazing, but at about halfway through it started to taste kinda like beer barf.

I'd drink it again, but next time with a meal.

 

i drank it pretty much by itself. i had a sandwich halfway through but i liked it the whole time.

 

I think it was the acidity of the chipotle that made it less palatable as time went on. I recall now that it was probably not as cold as it should have been either.

 

i will agree that the first half was better than the second, but i did like it the whole time. but you're right, i dont know what it would be like to get drunk off of it. possibly the worst heart burn ever

 

Try pairing it with something that is chocolately, like a rich chocolate cheesecake. Thats what i did and it worked out pretty well.

 

i live 5 minutes from an authentic (and i mean authentic) columbian resturant that is really good. i bet if i got that to go and opened one up with it it would be great
