Any reviews now that you have had it for awhile?
Any problems with certain iPod models?

Im about to pull the trigger on one of these. One thing that bothers me is that it might take up to 25 seconds to get everything fired up on the iPod. Do you guys find that an annoyance when using it?

    Thanks!

    I'm Thinking...Oh Yeah...An FJ
It's all in my head at the moment...
Had mine for just about a year...Did the install myself. Works great. I have it were it plays the IPod and the Sirius player. No delay at all. I'm not sure where you get the 25 second delay idea but it's not happening here. Make sure you follow the directions where it shows you how to make up the playlists by using TOYOTA1, TOYOTA2, etc....the word Toyota has to be in caps for the player to recognize everything.

    Have fun.

Their website says it may take up to 25 seconds (if memory serves) for the ipod to be recognized and loaded. Ive seen others around here mention that so I was just curious.

My 4th gen Nano takes a bit to be recognized by the PA15, but only about 30 seconds or so. I still love mine after a year and a half or so/ :)

i have the single CD deck, and a 2G iPod Touch.

When you get one, it will most likely come with the 5v adapted the new ipods need instead of the 12v. You should be safe if you have an older ipod. The new cables though, don't work with the old ipods, (or at least my ipod video 30g would load)

I dont like my PA-15. :( The sound quality sucks and is grainy. I run all my songs at 320kbps, so that shouldn't happen. The music is barely heard when driving down the highway with windows open and stereo at max.

I dont leave my ipod in the car. Every time i plug in my ipod it bounces around to a random song, which is the most annoying thing in the world.

I had the unit replaced, and the next unit had the same exact behavior.

Installation was extremely easy. I put a hole in the change tray near the steering wheel for my ScanGuage, so i ran the iPod cable through here, so nice and hidden.

;( Unhappy with it. May sell soon. Just cant see getting rid of it after i spent.... 160 for it.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
I have the Peripheral iSimple PXAMG/PGHTY1 And let me tell you
I hate it. I have to go out for the second time today and unhook it because the head unit will not recognize it again.. It will charge the ipod, but wont go to the sat function. It just stays on AM. The text is cool, But a pain in the ass to controll through the deck. And the levels suck.. You have to blast it to hear it sometimes.. Could be the HU though since the guy above me is complaining about that.

I had the usa spec i pod adapter in my 2006 corrola.. never had a problem! I wish i bought the pa-15 instead.

I use mine with the 2nd gen mini. It works great and there is no delay. Get it from ipodcarpros.com. I offered them $130 including shipping and the 5v cable and they accepted. Fast shipping and seemed knowledgable.

Got mine off of ebay for $119 yesterday. Supposedly came with the adapter to charge my IPhone so we'll see.

Any pics of where any of you guys installed this adapter? I get mine today so I'll be installing it in the next few days. Just looking for ideas.

I ran the wires from the back of the radio to the interface which I located next to the shifter (if you have an A/T), under the shifter console. That is a perfect spot for the interface (I used velcro to secure to the side of the console). I then ran the 5v cable to the center console (under the cupholder) to hook up the ipod. There was recently a post about where people mount their ipods and in that post were pics of this install.

I just installed mine to make sure it worked. Mounted it right behind the vent just to the right of the driver's side (close to the power/volume knob) and ran the plug out of the glove box. I did notice that there was a bit of a delay when using the steering controls to FF or Rev. but overall I'm pretty stoked. I just need to create the playlists now so I can hear what I want when I want. I eventually want to run the cable up the center console but that will have to wait till the weekend I think.
