Definitely. I have a set to build early next week and can get those pics for you of stock and modified.

    It's not my beautiful garage.

I use CBIs with 50w ballasts but admittedly they are very yellow for CBIs given they are new and being overpowered. Here's another shot from this morning:

The license plate lights are really about 6000K so you can see just how yellow the headlights are in comparison.

Thanks Andrew...you're a good man for the scoop and pics. I'm picking up some retro lights and was planning on putting in 5000k and I'm not sure I want a super white light out the front and was thinking of just going 4300k's. I want the stock OEM look without it being to noticeable. I sold my Lexus GS460 for my Taco and I loved the light color from those, so I wanted to keep it similar as I believe those were @4300k...

Correct, all stock HID bulbs up until about 2012 were 4300K, then Osram brought out the CBI in certain vehicles. So, 4300K will go unnoticed compared to some of the more extreme colors out there.

I'm really looking forward to what you're doing with the rear taillights! No one has really done much to them other than painting the shrouds, so your experiment will be appreciated...$$$...:D

My LS430 retrofit is now available for $2,000 complete. It is the best of the best.

Is it me or can you see thru the back of the housing. Are these sealed from the elements? Also how do halos look if you paint the shroud black?

    thanks

In some photos there are no bulbs installed, so yes, it is OK that you can see right through it. They are completely sealed from the elements.

The halos are practically not visible with the shrouds painted. They make the lens glow dimly but that's about it. :)

That's just a reflection off of the flat portion of the LS460 projector. :)

Not to hijack this thread but what are the specs on those TRD wheels. I have never seen any like it around here and was wondering how to locate a set?

Two sets in progress. Should be sealed back up tomorrow:

Also, I will be selling my LS430s to start on another crazy set. These are available WITH my Heretic light bar if anyone is interested. I'll make a hell of a deal on it all.
