Not to mention...they don't really perform. Haven't for years. You have to give a CD to the staff that they play ahead of time and lip-sync.

Unless there's a marching band, no instrument you've seen on the SB halftime show has been live. Or audible. Which, coincidentally, is why the Chili Peppers had no amps on stage...they didn't want people to think they were playing live.

Metallica, among others, have turned down the NFL when they asked 'em to play cause they won't allow you to play live.

oh and Rams fans, good luck with that. At least he'll get his guaranteed money before he's out of the league.

Yup..and Tretter is out for 'multiple weeks', meaning Corey Linsley is the starting center until...at least mid October, likely.

    *sigh

Back to back ACL tears in the same knee?

Not saying it can't be done. There's a guy on track to start week one with _THREE_ ACL rebuilds.

    ...

    ...

How likely is it that Bradford can do that? Sorry, but it doesn't look good.

    Well, the small upsides:

    1.) Aaron Rodgers. 'nuff said
2.) the *rest* of the oline is actually pretty damned solid. Lang and Sitton are studs. Bahktiari is an out-of-no-where pretty fucking good to great LT. Bulaga is a solid RT, at least very good by any standards coming off an injury.
3.) the rookie center's job has been stripped down, pared out to the other guys, and simplified as much as is humanly possible.
4.) Eddie Lacy & DuJuan Harris are a whopper-bitch-kitty of a 1-2 punch at running back. Exceptionally powerful, yet quick footed. Decent blockers, too. Starks is a nice scat-back changeup, they just need to stop running him up the middle so much.
5.) KUUUUUHN. The fullback is a dying breed in the modern NFL, yet our Shippensburg dude just keeps on truckin'. He's an exceptional blocker and has decent hands for such a big bruiser.

    6.) Did I mention....Aaron Goddamn Rodgers?

Frankly, even with the rookie at C, I'm a lot more worried about the D than the O.

OK, so, Tampa brought in Richie Incognito for a visit but didn't sign. Today, the Pats just traded Logan Mankins to Tampa for a draft pick and a nobody TE.

To make this a Darth Hoodie special, the Pats should now sign Incognito to take Mankins' place.
