It has been kinda dead huh. but thanks man! Its lookin pretty positive tho.. its in good hands at Az driveshaft. Might be a pricey overhaul tho depending on what else they find. But.. if it fixes all the issues, it was well worth it. I really have my fingers crossed that the main issues I was having will be taken care of in what they are fixing (u joints, CB, re-tube). Otherwise.. it could be something else, or something more serious. Wont know till I get it back Monday.

Hahaha. I got in contact with the shop again.. hopefully getting the ball rolling again.

 

Im just playin man. Ive been dealing with a broke ass truck of my own.

 

got the truck back from Az driveshaft. holy hell it drives so much better! 3 u joints (one was completely destroyed), new CB, balance and straightened. all is well now. still have terrible axle wrap.. but that will resolved here shortly with some new leafs.

time for goodies...

So.. need some opinions, switches for my shiz..

Ill need all new rocker bodies and switches. Thinking like 4 or 5 depending on what I want to run to the switches. So far its LED bar, amber/dust lights, reverse lights, rock lights... maaaaybe my cb/pa speaker and possibly my abs killswitch. Or. May leave one or two blank for future led bars. What do you think? I might just run the cb/pa on a relay so when I turn the CB on in the center console, it will automatically turn the pa speaker on.. That will free up a switch spot.

 

My CB just has a button on it you push to turn on the PA. so I turn on the CB and switch it to PA

 

Mine done as well, but my pa is amped so it has its own power switch. If I want to use the PA, I turn on my cb, switch it to PA, turn on the PA and then it works. Thinking of adding a relay so that when I turn on the CB, it automatically turns on the PA, and off when I turn the CB off. If I do that, I was thinking of adding the on/off switch to the switch bank with the rest of my switches.. like mentioned in my previous post.

 

What was the total cost at az drive shaft?

alllllrighty..

got a shop lined up to do the header and exhaust build. 80/hr.. quoted for 6 hours.. but also said typical time is 4-5. then 190 for the piping and muffler install.

so.. not too bad. about what i figured. only problem is they are about 30-45 minutes away, and are only open 8-5.. which are the same hours i work... and are only open from 8-12 on saturday.

so once i figure out how to get my truck to them on a thursday night or friday morning.. let them keep it for a full day a half.. the exhaust will be done.

psssh.. lol i needed to get it to a place that i could enjoy it again.. it was just constant band-aid after band-aid. but.. i learned from my mistakes and what i needed/wanted to do the first go around.. and just implementing them now.

what place? the exhaust shop? Its Performance Muffler off like 32nd and Greenway.
