hey so pre trip question from me!!!

headed to Morrison in a couple days, anything I should be uber aware of obstacle wise??? I have kind of looked at around a 100 different sets of photos and other than don't bring a trailer with me It should be more than doable from my picture viewing eye in my GC

I would be taking the rexus but steering is a wee bit of an issue that I don't want to have to deal with for 5000+km, No the Jeep won't be on 20's.... should be on 17's sometime tomorrow, Also looks like you guys had a blast yet again

Also an GPX tracks??? I have a couple but maybe some more recently confirmed would be nice versus a mountain bikers tracks :p

haha..your going in a stock jeep?

you are gonna tear it up. Not so much on the switches but on a few of the hills after it. Pretty rough this year.

Bring a chain saw. Been very wet and trees have been falling a lot.

Hike a head every switch back to see if there is room to back up it and pull forward it'll work better if the corners are too tight. there are about 3 this year that have either shit loads of loose rocks or some big ass rock in the way.

    I would not go alone.

actually its the baby blue that i usually notice more on nikons..which i thought was odd..haha

stockish, ill be running in lifted mode the entire time, no not going alone, chainsaw noted*

this thing does turn very tightly so I'm turning isn't a huge issue, ill be putting the 4 runner at the front of the group the entire run, so after the switchbacks what do you mean about the trail conditions, loose rock everywhere??? or large rocks?? just looking for some details

There are two sections of rough rocky patches. Nothing horrible but a stock rig will drag pretty bad. I bet if you spot it'll be fine. One down hill area about halfway through the upper section is the worst part.

If it doesn't turn good then be ready to go up backwards.

also what gen 4runner? anything newer then a 3rd gen will have to back up too.

THanks man! i have a lot left tonight. My last pano i think you will love..maybe.

and i tried that but didn't help. I just said fuck it haha

Oh i expect full out to be backing up hahahaha

the Jeep surprisingly in OR2 mode is the equivalent to a 5.5" lift lol gotta love air bags lol and than jumping up to 32.5"s for the trip, it has full skids from the OR package so that I am grateful for

the 4 runner is a 5th gen, full skids and proper sliders, no bumpers however though, well discuss as we go, we do have ALOT of miles to make... really wish I was taking my cruiser

Cruiser would have worse turning problems i feel like. And maybe width issues.

You should be okay then. Just go slow and take your time. The best way to do the corners is to go wide then cut in HARD. Then back up STRAIGHT. do not turn the other way. This will keep the rear tire from getting sucked into the inside of the corner which will be the biggest issue to begin with.

other then that should be fine.

when are you going? snow is gonna be falling within a few weeks.
