I think EGR discontinued the in channel slim line window visors. ...there was a thread here about a month back discussing that.

I have an access cab 2009, any particular window visor brand works the best? Inchannel is my preference.

    Thanks,

    Hi Eric,

I read your post on these but was wondering why you compared the weathertechs against AVS? I have owned weathertech vent visors for years now and have not found anything that compares to the quality. The ones that I have now on my Tahoe are thick and are basically unbreakable. Are the EGRs that good? AVS visors are cheap, thin and very flexible. I do not think they compare at all to weathertech. Have they lowered their stantards/quality for the taco's? Have you done a side by side comparison with weathertech and EGRs? Just curious. Thanks

So does Weathertech. I wanna know if anyone has actually done a side by side comparison for both brands. I have stepped, dropped, and even my dog got a hold of my weathertechs and have not had any damage done to them. Can someone tell me if EGR's will do that? I think that Weathertechs are the best visors money can buy and hopes someone can tell me otherwise. Thanks

I have not compared directly to the Weathertech's. I can't speak to their quality as I have never owned a set. But cost entered the equation in my research and that eliminated the Weathertech's.

    Weathertech: $110

    EVS: $70

I don't have gremlins (or trees) trying to rip my visors off my truck and wasn't too concerned about the durability of them. If something is going to break my visors, I'm more concerned about it scratching/denting my paint or breaking my window.

Luckily, during my installation, I did not - drop, step on or definitely not allow my dog to get a hold of  - my EGR visors! If all of that happened on your install, I'm glad to hear your visors were strong enough to not show any damage :)

More important to me was looks. I like the Slimline look over the flared WT's.

Most of the prices listed for the window visors are for a set of 4. Since you have an access cab, and the rear windows dont open, you only need the front 2.
I recently got some as a gift from my Girlfriend. They Are the Element Window Visors by Putco , and I love them. Only cost about $30. They dont stick out at all. I mean, if you look at the truck from the front or back, you cant even notice them. they are the same profile as the doors.
