After something like 5 or so trips to the dealership, with various seals replaced on my driver side door, (sometimes more than once), my rattle still persists.

That being said, they sent in all my work done to the engineers at Toyota, and it seems I wasn't the only one with the issue. Im having an actual engineer who visits the dealership take a look at it, but also there is a TSB being created for this issue.

So within the next few months anyone with a 2012+ who is having this issue, it will likely be resolved as they figure out how to quiet down the driver door.

Just a heads up, as ive tried searching for answers on here and no one seems to have a solution that has worked.

I have this problem with the AC. I think it's from the weather stripping rubber together??

I had the Same issue with my 2010, was intermittent here and their. Pulled door panel off a few times, found the tweeter cover was lose and the plastic welds broke. Jb welded it back into position. Didnt fix, went ahead and tightened every bolt in the door. Problem solved has been over 1000 miles no noise come back

I will for sure keep updating... when I get the engineer to the dealership to look at it, and he manages to fix it, i'll make sure I find out exactly what he did and the cause of the problem and let all you know. If that doesn't work, I suppose we'll have to wait out the publishing of the TSB.

just wanted to add...i thought and swore it was something in my door that was rattling, and it still might be because I still cant find the issue, but I have noticed it mainly on turning left. If I take all of my weight off the seat when I turn there is no rattle, which leads me to believe its something to do with the seat. I checked all the anchor bolts and also underneath the seat and cant figure out what it could be. Everything was tight. So annoying. Makes the truck feel cheap to me.

I have a squeek in my AC, but that's from the window control panel that my left leg rests against. If I pop it off it the squeek goes away. I just need to clean around the edge of it and maybe put a thin layer of grease down or something.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
In my case the bolts holding the fender were not tightened completely.

Place your hand on the driver side fender above the wheel opening then push forward and pull back to check the fender is bolted on securely.

I figured this out while waxing the fender.

I am glad others are experiencing this because I thought I was losing my mind. I thought it might be coming from the speaker but ever time I get to dealership they can't replicate it.

Every tiny bump I go over makes a plasticky rattle sound. Can't tell where it's coming from, center of dash, in the back behind the seats, doors? When I turn my head it changes!

Going to have someone drive it while I move around the cabin and listen this weekend.

Wipe your weather stripping down with Armorall or something similar, I've even used leather conditioner. I have to do this about every 6 months but it definitely works.

The drivers door on my 13' was making a slight squeaking sound when going over bumps. I wiped down the rubber door seal with 303 aerospace protectant and it's completely gone now for over 6 months!

i'll give it a shot, but its not a "squeaking" i'm hearing. Its a rattle/something hitting something type of sound, but i'm down to trying anything at this point.

I didn't have a rattle, but a rubber squeaking noise from the rubber seal round the door.

I ended up putting drip line tubing through one of the holes in the seal and feeding it through the entire seal. I ran 2 lines, no more squeak noises for me.
