It would be nice to setup the tepui and not have to break it down in the morning. I dont think Ive had a trip all summer where we setup camped and stayed a day. It would be nice to open all the window flaps, setup the annex, and a canopy. Put the kayaks in the water and open a beer.

You could ride double with Nick. Kayak buddies!!

And I feel ya nick, that's been my one gripe about the RTT setup, is breaking down camp every time you want to go anywhere. I'm looking forward to chillin!

It's got me looking into mounting my RTT on my trailer. Quite possibly my next mod.

Trailer setups are awesome. Id just be worried about it getting stolen. I may buy a hammock for this trip. Ive always wanted a camping hammock.

Bumping this gold lake trip. I know Jason (stroM) can't make it, but there should still be a solid group. I'm going to mention it in the NorCal bs thread to see if there's any last minute additions.

We should make a meeting point for the trip out there, or at least find out when everyone's heading out.

I'll probably be leaving home at 10:30 ish. Try to get past Sac early enough to miss weekend excursion traffic.

We could meet in Safeway in Auburn? Grass valley? Or Nevada city?

How hard is the trail? I would love to head up there with my girl. I'm normally not one to shy away from trails but prerunner/lockers can only do so much.. lol

Honestly I don't remember paying when we went... I'll double check that for ya.

EDIT: I didn't pay last time, because it's free oct-May. 10$ in the summer. Not bad...

RE-EDIT: 4x4 campground is free all the time. Woot.

Ted: it's pretty basic. There's a short 4x4 route in from hwy 49, it's rocky and rough, but with only 1 difficult section. I'd imagine you could get past it pretty easy... And if not, I've got a winch :)

I'm trying to get one of my sisters out camping and she's working on Sat. If I go solo I'll probably head up after rotc on Fri night.

Does noon on friday work for you?

After working a full day yesterday I drove 230 miles to relentless metal fab in Nevada to get my new bumper. I also ordered 2 more d2 lights and a light bar for it.
