Why do your 12.5s look so narrow compared to Craig's? I know his wheels are 9" wide. What are yours?

Sorry I had run out of time the tire guys tok forever and I had work at 6pm. I'll be around tomorrow so I'll grab you a pic I swear!

Get your stains off mah truck :p

You don't even need keys to start my POS it runs on hopes and dreams mang

 38s? 35s are the new 33s and 37s are the new 35s. I'm somewhere in between there. You need to break on thru and just mount some 4Ds already :D

I had the tire shop torque to 1 billion ft lbs

It's a viscious cycle man and it never ends lol. Next who knows what crazy shit we will be scheming up.

The TSLs run a bit skinnier than advertised. Hence the reason Craig wanted to switch to iroks I believe. The super swamper is almost spot on 36" tall but about 10" wide contact patch. The wheels I have em on are 8" wide with 4" backspacing and I get no rubbing on the UCA anywhere. My new tires are like an extra large pizza cutter. :D

I've got a set of 8" wheels with 4.1" backspace in the garage. Getting them on the end of the week most likely. Got the 4.1 instead of 4.5 just in case I do someday want to make the jump to 35s

Did someone say pizza? :hungry:  first thing I noticed was just how skinny they looked... The pics you sent with them off the truck did not do the skinniness any justice.

That should work nicely. Sack up and get the 35s you're wasting those precious wheels life sitting unused in the garage :)

I'm just not ready to cut fenders, cab mounts (a lot), pinch welds, fenders etc more than I have to yet. If I had the money to regear I would certainly consider it more.

Well hell that ain't bad. Cheapest part of the process. Haha thanks for the info man. And nice with the tires. I lean towards fatter tires but sometimes wish I didn't cause it would save me some mpgs. Hahaha

I hear ya. Time will heal that. I couldn't imagine hacking up a fender in a 30k truck just 3 or 4 years ago and we all see the inevitable results in this POS build thread :D

Yeah the driveshaft shop by me is reasonable and luckily *knock on wood* I haven't dented any of my new driveshafts yet. The Toyo's I had on before I got these were actually wider. The increased contact patch is nice and does help in certain situations but it def causes poor MPGs and requires a lot more trimming up front. Not that I care too much about MPGs

Even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while ;)

Yah I feel ya. Once you're on 35s + then mpgs really don't matter much anymore. Haha but I still get 18 with my 4 banger and 4.88s. It's really the lack of power with the fat tires that kills my truck. But I'd still rather have the fatter tire. Although I've got a lot of mud around me and tall skinnies kick ass in the mud

Unless somebody is asking a motor specific question I don't go checking everyones stats to see what motor they have. Haha it has a motor and for your typical that is good enough. It's not like we race in the 1450 class or anything.
