I'm not worried about it or anything. It's like a rattle to me, I can't help it I just want to find it and get rid of it. If it is what it is and nothing can be done I'll just add it to my list of things I don't like about the truck and move on.

Have you guys tried getting your trans fluid level checked. These trucks are very sensitive with trans fluid level. Go about 40mph slam on the brakes, then get off the brakes and quick on the gas. If they are way over or under filled they will "buck" or some might just have a hesitation.

Will you grease mine for me?

I had this happen for a while. Actually got out of the truck twice to see if the person behind me had hit me. It was my tranny slowly going out. It finally went out on the freeway one day trying to shift into 4th. Red lined. This happened at about 95k.

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for what I think would be the ideal car camping spot. I know I’m asking for a lot from one location, but if there’s any such place in the US that can meet these 3 lofty requirements it would be here in AZ. PLEASE HELP ME OUT! Im looking for a place that would meet the following requirements:

    1. FOREST – It has to be located somewhere up north where it’s cool and in the woods. Not the high desert. I want to be in the pines surrounded by trees.

    2. CAR CAMPING – I don’t want to hike (yes lazy) I want to be able to drive the truck right up to the campsite and unload.

    3. SHOOTING – I want to be able to target shoot from the campsite, ideally I want to be able to get out of my chair by the campfire walk a couple of yards and shoot. In order to do this there has to be a sufficient back stop, there can’t be a lot of people around. It can’t be close to any towns, building, cabins, etc.

If you know of such a divine location please share this with us.

    Thanks in advance!

My first thoughts are up towards Dogtown lake in Williams, or even closer to my hometown in Mayer. I can sleep in the bed of my truck out there and shoot right there as well.

btw.. how ya been man?? havent seen you since we made the deal for those floormats back in the day. lol

What up Josh... I've been around - I think the last time I saw your rig was the meet at Papago park. Guess our paths just haven't crossed.

So do you have a specific spot, directions, GPS coordinates? :D

been busy man! we need to get a beer or something soon.

Ehh, not really.. :( dogtown is a pretty general area, its where we hunt sometimes. lots pf pines, the lake, trails, areas to shoot. although im not very sure what the restrictions are at the moment. guess that would be your first thing to look into.

up by Mayer.. really anywhere honestly. You can take bloody basin off the I-17 like your going to go to Crown King, and just explore anywhere out there. it will be more high desert than pine trees. but still very cool and nice scenery.

There are spots like that up on the rim north of payson. Seems like you can shoot just about anywhere in the national forests as long as its back stopped. Do your own research though.

Ive seen people shooting along the "rim road" at different places.

These all sound like great suggestions. I have some more exact directions to a spot just north of Happy Jack. Any you guys familiar with that area at all?

Happy Jack is a great area. The church I belong to has some property up there on the east side of the road just south of the happy jack lodge.
