    he got a full set from a different truck(think it was ford or chevy) and took it apart and added some of the leafs from it to the OEM pack.

    edit: there is a thread on people taking apart chevy leaf packs and using them on the taco.

    Hey now. No duels over parts. :duel:

    I still don't know when I'll be trading my truck out and I like my lift. Nothing wrong with any of it. I just want double cab 4x4. Could be weeks, months, or years depending on when I find a deal I like. And if I trade for another Tacoma, I'll be wanting a lift so...

    But that's why I asked about miles on stock parts. I wouldn't want to drive around on old worn out springs/shocks for maybe a year+ if I sell the lift. The lift has 28,xxx miles on it and still feels solid.

    So, here's what I'm thinking:
    Maybe $1100 for it all plus trade me good stock parts and I'll help with the installing / swapping over of parts. Seems comparable to some other deals I saw. Compared to buying new, it's like getting free UCAs & rear brake lines.

    Anyone still interested in that deal?

    For once he is right. I did the Ford Leaf spring swap. I have three leafs out of a Ford f250 super duty. Paid 30+ for the set and then took them home and cut them down to size.

    Let me rephrase that, I took them home and disassembled them measured and marked. Then took to them to Knoxville Springs. Had them cut them and dog ear them for free. Brought everything home and put them in. Ditched my 4" block and now running straight leaf packs.
