Had 5100's installed on my 2014 DCSB Prerunner today and WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT in ride quality. I am totally pleased with the result. So I am posting this to answer all the questions that I had before the install.

My truck is a 2014 TRD Sport DCSB Prerunner with the 4 leaf rear springs (AKA TSB springs). I am using stock Sport front springs and stock UCAs. Currently running stock wheels and tires.

Measurements before install (from the ground to the fender, centered on the wheel hub):
    LF: 34.5" RF: 35.25"
    LR: 36.5" RR: 36.75"

Measurements after install (includes a 1/4" top plate spacer on the driver side from Toytec):
    LF: 36.625" RF: 37"
    LR: 36.625" RR: 36.625"

As you can see I got exactly 1.75" of lift plus 3/8 from the driver side spacer. I still have a slight Taco lean but other than that the truck is perfectly level from front to back.

The ride is not harsh as some describe. In fact I would say the ride is smoother than stock. I always thought the stock ride was horrible. I felt like the stock Bilstein shocks were undersized for the truck. The ride seemed very "jolted" and IMO harsh. The 5100s make it feel solid but smooth (if that makes any sense).

Had them installed at The Truck Shop in San Diego. They did a very good job and was in and out in less than 2 hours.

    Alignment specs after install:
    Caster:
    (L) 1.2 (R) 1.9
    Camber:
    (L) 0.3 (R) 0.4
    Toe:
    (L) 1/32 (R) 1/32

Next is tires and wheels. Will be getting Fuel Marvericks 17x9 (+1mm offset) with P265/70/17 Toyo Open Country AT2s. More to follow on that.

EDIT: Follow up to the original post.... The only thing I would add is that despite the measurements saying it is perfectly level, it is not. It is about an inch high in the front in appearance. I also put a level on the bed rail while sitting on my level garage floor and there is no doubt it is nose high. I am adding a Wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal soon to correct that.

take it back to your alignment guy.... .7* diff in caster between each side is horrible.

Your alignment looks messed up! You should have them get your caster closer to 2.5

Some people are saying set the fronts to .85 with the TSB leaf in the back while some people are saying 1.75 is the way to go if you're wanting to level out the front end...
I'd rather end up slightly under level than being nose high in the front. Thoughts?

Thanks for the write up! Pics would be great.

I did the 5100 install on my '11 AC Taco on Saturday, and took me 3 hours, so the guy who did yours, must be GOOD at doing these.

As far as the ride, a tad overdamped for freeway driving, feels great on the twisty backroads and well planted on the gravel with minimal wheel hop.

Just for personal interest, do recall the labor charge for the install? It must be in the $250 range with an alignment.

Well it seems my pics are missing... I will fix that later tonight. As for the labor cost it was just under $300 including alignment.

TSB leaf in back. Stock springs/uca's in front. 5100's front and rear. Fronts are pre-loaded to 1.75 and I am almost level. The front sits a smidge lower than the rear. I haven't measured but I'd say 1/8 - 1/4 inch lower in the front. 2011 DCSB.

I haven't measured mine, but it LOOKs level now with 5100 set at 1.75, the TSB for the four leaf rear springs, rancho 5000 on the back...'11 AC. Now let's see how it does with 1,500 of 3/4 gravel in the bed.

I have the 4pack in the back, I also have the stock progressive OR coils...pictures looks good but since I plan on keeping the rear stock, I might end up with the .85 setting (still not sure if I should go 1.75 and risk being too high in the front)

My eyes are playing tricks on me... I don't know what to make of the pics. I'm leaning towards a tiny bit nose high?

I've got coil spacers left in from the PO and they're making me miserable. I'm non-TRD, just the SR5 with the leaf TSB done I think? (see pictures)

EDIT: Looks like I have five leaves...

New wheels and tires added today. I also added the Wheelers 3 leaf aal a few days ago and am much happier with the level look. Rides great too.

I also did 5100's X 4, fronts @ 0.85 though. Truck is pretty much stock.

I'm at almost 60k miles, so I figured it was due. Took me about 5 hours, including a trip to sears (broke a craftsman 19mm socket and got replaced foc.)

I'm going to be sore for a week I think.

Zonian, are you looking level at 0.85?

And cmbondo, your new setup looks sick!! How much lift did the AAL give you in the rear?

Im sure this is a stupid question but what is the TSB?
My DC has the 4 leaf pack (last leaf is much shorter right?)

TSB was a recall where they added another leaf in the rear on older models. If you have 4 I believe you have the equivalent of the TSB pack.

Did you leave the overload in or take it out with the aal?

I took the overload out. Got 1.5 inches lift initially but it settled out at about 1 to 1.25 inches.
