If you can find a wrecked truck with everything in it. Be way easy to swap stuff over.

Got my shock hoops cut out. Going to bevel the edges and then weld em up. 0eb5068c635ec03c4e6cc85c77a841ab_da71b2a0c7679ef18c78e1fc3d9c57fc7bb4683f.jpg

Considering the gas prices where you live, and the start/stop traffic, for my dd I'd sure want an economical gas sipper. Your Taco is for FUN, the car for unfun like work :D

Well, does it help if I phrase it this way.
There's a 5 speed on ebay for a 3RZ, will it work in my truck?

    No. 3rz won't work on a 5vz

    Ahhh good catch.

But actually the input shaft is different length and few others. That's why there are 151f and 150f

But they damn near the same. Same bolt pattern for sure on the bell housing

Ahh well thank you for straightening that out. I do know the input shaft changed just slightly at one point.

That would be the easiest way so you can get all the misc parts that go along with it. Little things like radiator hoses, alternator, etc etc.

    Ok.....
But why not get tubes bent? A miter cut/weld on corners is just going to be a weak point. Really not a good idea considering what you have planned.

    Not at all.

Hard hit and that will fold like a twig. Without a consistent bend, you literally are telling the tube where to bend and/or break. Especially considering it's going to be the upper mount for the coilover where the entire weight of the truck will be supported.

In the end fabrication is just a hobby for me, but I know what's worked (and not worked) for me in the past. I would STRONGLY urge Juan to get some tubes bent instead of that.

Maybe...but would you use anything other than a bent tube for a shock hoop?

No. If I don't have to weld multiple parts together, I don't. One continuos piece is the way to go. A bent tube would take up much less space compared to that too... Unless it needs to look like that, which can still be bent.
