    I have been in contact with landon (Supermoto) since he used to build the kits. I have been texting him and he said i don't need bends. That its just extra cost. I am also building an engine cage with a cross brace in between. I have mesaages saying i don't need it that it is just extra money

    All the local fab places here (even lower end ones) charge 20 a bend and 10 a notch. And 2 bends on each is 40 and another 20 for one side. So 120 for bends and notches. That's just for the hoops. Not even the engine cage.

    Considering what you have planned...buy a notcher. Even the cheap one from summit is only like $75 and works awesome. Hell you can even hillbilly notch it with two cuts of a chop saw.

    As for the bender...gotta pay to play. Start making friends or buy your own.

    Oh god.... A well built strait tube (no bends) shock hoop is perfectly strong. I prefer notches over mider, we've been talking via text. Juan will be just fine. Most engine cages are all notches but when it just a hoop you guys loose it and think it needs bends.

    I still say get tubes bent or notch it. LT isn't meant to be done cheap. The price quote you got on bends is way over the top tho. But with that....
