    So....buying shocks for a Tacoma rear end sucks...

    Got 29-1/4" droop & 15-1/4" compressed = FUBAR

    Looks like I have to either add limit straps/for 10" travel, or lose uptravel by 2-3/4"/have over 30" extended w/12" travel, or start cutting holes in the bed and welding shit to the frame for 14" of travel. I'm leaning towards killing my up travel. Whole point of the flip was for added droop

    I was trying to avoid it, but it's either that or cut the bed. Since I already have more up travel then most because of my skinny's I guess I could lose some. Ill just dust off my wheelers superbump tower (still brand new), throw a hockey puck on the strike pad, and install the tower as it's meant...on top of the flip kit. For a gain of 6-3/4" down travel Ill lose only 2-5/8" up travel.

    Just sent a e-mail to DSMS to find out if they can think of anything better. Last thing I really wanted was 12" 5125's on my truck after my 5100's puked their guts out, but their numbers look good so far as the eye/shaft conversion is possible without the bolt on eye adapter that adds 1-1/2".

    We already covered that. Ill never inboard a shock on anything I own....especially after driving my truck this weekend with no shocks. WAY to squirrely with the extra body roll caused by the additional shackle flex. I don't want to be the next guy to get done building his truck just to roll it.

    I want it to drive as good as possible at speed offroad with as little modifications done to it. If I was going to do all that work of relocating the shock mounts top & bottom I'd just relocate them at the sides and put in 14" travel shocks for way more control vs inboard.

    Just heard back from DSMS and my only option is Fox 2.0 remotes with 30.19" extended 18.19" compressed. While I'm not a fan of Fox at all it is a step up from Billys. Trigger pulled.

    12" travel shocks with 29" droop here we come.
