    that would be my suggestion as well....take over one of the camp spots in hall valley (rd you take in for red cone) then head up from there....either stay on hall valley or take webster in a little from that junction and there's a bunch of spots along the trail for a good camp

    So yeah... yesterday our closest 14er to the front range Mt. Evens got snow. Also radar indicated this morning that the ranges in the area where we will be adventuring the weekend after next were to possibly get snow above 12k ft. today. It should not accumulate too much but it does mean that the end of our wheeling season is fast approaching. So Mark good choice on doing the first weekend of September.

    To all, I am sure most of you are prepared for cold weather camping but I just wanted to put out a reminder for everyone that it will get cold at night up there now so bring the layers and have plenty of Canadian Whiskey with you. :)

    My plans have changed a bit. I will most likely work all day Thursday now and meet everyone at the trail head on Friday morning. :cool:
