    I agree

    I never understand these package deals at all. You look at what they are charging for these simple upgrades and its crazy.

    Business gentlemen business Toyota is not not in this for humanitarian reasons. Just like Apple, or premium steak, its the nature of business

    The final press releases with pricing data detailed that the Tacoma would not have a TRD specific skid plate.

    Listed as "black oe skid plate" so looks like they're adding the typical Accessory skid plate on for this particular one.

    http://toyotanews.pressroom.toyota.com/releases/toyota+pricing+trd+pro+series+tacoma+4runner.htm

    This dealer added pretty much every single Toyota Accessory he possibly could to the TRD Pro to milk it. Surprised he held back on the wheels locks, bed net, bed step and some of the rail accessories haha

    I agree. This at a totally different price point than the standard OR in my opinion. If you have 40K to play with, I'd get the Raptor. Not worth it for a slightly improved Tacoma.

    But a lot of people don't want the hulking size, and fuel consumption of the Raptor. That's an entirely different beast of truck. Probably overkill for 90% of people that buy it.

    It looks like they did and they are charging $550 for it! :eek: That's the same price as the complete Toyota tow package should cost with transmission coolers, larger alternator, and larger battery.

    It's an opinion; a rather harsh one, but an opinion. I just ignore;
    If you can plunk down the cash, and alot do, go for it. Whether this thing sells at sticker-plus.... welll....

    Toyota really didn't want to sell this thing with the tow package; maybe it being off-road they couldn't make it work with sway-control.
    But the '15 brochure doesn't offer Pro with the full tow package. Not much reason for not putting at least the coolers and heavy alternator on at that price tho..:(

    Seems like a used raptor used is at least 10k more, and bigger. Sticker price is a sticker price.

    There is no way in hell I would pay $42,000 for a Tacoma. :eek:

    Eh, they'll sell some at that price. No one really "needs" a Raptor, either. But some people like buying top of the line/over the top toys. And as far as toys go, the TRD Pro is a pretty neat truck.

    I have a 2012 Trd Sport. Does my truck have that package? I don't really tow anything so wasn't looking for this when I was truck shopping. How do I find out?
