Anyone see the 2015 schedule? Not too bad, so happy Darlington is back on Labor Day weekend, I can finally get back there! I expected not too much to change, I'm sure they are waiting out this new chase format to see how the fans respond, but I do think an overhaul of the schedule is coming in a few years.

I did notice three west coast races in a row, that is gonna help teams save money, something TSM is having issues with since they let off employees today and now Ron hornady doesn't have a ride this weekend, smh.

Need to get rid of Talledega with the new Chase format. Wouldn't mind seeing The Glen thrown in the Chase either.

Yea I hate that talladega is in the chase, would rather see another 1.5 miler or a road course. I really think nascar is leaning on road America in the future as another addition and possibly added to the chase in the next 2-3 years from what I hear.

Why the desire to get rid of Talladega in the chase? It's the only superspeedway track in the chase. The idea I think was to try and get a variety of tracks for the chase run. I go every fall, don't get rid of the only race in the chase I can make it to! lol.

Having talladega in the chase essentially takes the wheel out of a driver or teams hand because it's a lottery race. Having bristol or a road course where a driver can have more control over their championship campaign seems more logical to me, plus restrictor plate racing over the last several years has sucked. It also puts someone like Aric almirola in the chase, while it's certainly a Cinderella type moment, I would rather see Ryan Newman or kasey kahne in that spot competition wise.

Talladega will take a championship type driver potentially out of the chase, watch, and I'll be even more against it if it's keselowski!

I do see the appeal in the drama talladega in the chase creates though.

I guess a lot is personal interest. Since I spent so many years at Daytona watching the races there I have grown to love the superspeedways. Yes, it is true that a champion can be taken out of contention at the big tracks, when you look at it, he could be taken out at just about ANY track, if the wreck ends his day. I disagree with the thought that the big tracks take the skill out of the driver. When you are running at those speeds, all in groups, you have to watch your line so you don't CAUSE a wreck, and yet still find the right time to move up for trying to win or place well. Again, I guess it is a matter of personal preferences.

From what I understand, Jeff Burton's seat is not in the primary or back up car for Stewart this weekend, so there is a possibility, however, it would take hardly any effort to put another seat in. I do know that the investigation was supposed to be updated this week and handed over to the DA, so who knows.

Now I would support a road course in the chase for sure, but not at the loss of a superspeedway. If you want the Chase to determine a REAL champion, then there should be an even amount of EVERY track option in the regular season. Superspeedway, short track, road course, medium track.

I am also 30 minutes (north) from Martinsville and have never been to a cup race there. Just went to Bristol last weekend for my 70th bristol cup race. Missed the spring race due to passing of my dad who lived 3 miles the from the Bristol track.

sorry to hear about your dad. My sister and her husband used to go to Bristol back in the day. Said you could walk in the pits and talk with the drivers etc...

I have a cousin that lives on mountain side behind the track.
I've never been to Bristol race but wondering if he'll let me camp in his yard.
Been to Texas and inaugural Phoenix race.

He's having a press conference about it at 1 tomorrow, he needs to or else it would be a continuous circus the whole weekend with reporters.

I wonder what nascar will decide if tony wins this weekend or next weekend to let him in the chase or not (he had to turn in a waiver to nascar because nascar requires you to qualify/race every weekend to be eligible for chase)
