I hate to be the bearer of bad news but 22mpg is pretty darned good if not higher than most, depending on what model truck you have. :D Welcome to TW!

    Welcome.

I get 12 with a back draft going down hill, you are doing pretty good to get 22.

Assuming you have a 2nd gen, 22mpg is ridiculously good. I struggle to get 15 mpg in mine. If I do nothing but interstate driving at 60, maybe I could get it to 17 or 18 but probably will never reach 20 lol.

Lol, yea I am in the 12-14 range. Are you 4x2 or 4x4? Even my 2010 standard cab 4x4 with tiny tires got only 21 or so. Add in the extra couple hundred pounds for the shell, and you should be happy what you are getting.

Jack the tire pressure to 44, lose the topper.

K&N only letting more dirt in.

I get 27, using the Canadian gallon.. (4.5L) compared to the American (3.78L) So I'd say mines around the same as yours. Too lazy to do math right now..

I usually get around 600km per tank, approximately 70 or so liters!

Should have got the 5 speed manual? :notsure:

I'm averaging 20-21 MPG on either LT245/75/16 AT tires (heavy) in Summer or P245/75/16 Blizzaks (soft) in Winter. Before going with the LT(s) I averaged 22-23 MPG in Summer on Passenger Hwy Tread tires; I'm 4x4.

You might try increasing the tire pressure ... I run my Summer tires at 50 psi over the road, or they'd surely drag my average down more than 1 or 2 MPGs.

Your gas milage is right on the mark...I get about 19 with my '11 AC, v6, 4x4 with tow package and 3.73 gears and P265R7516 Cooper Discovery AT3 tires.

What year? How many miles on the truck? What was your average MPG before it dropped down to 22?
