    Multiple forum whoring but whatever...

Sick of the stock lower arm cam tabs on my 4runner so cut them out and am replacing with all 1/4 thick 9/16 bolt tabs.
I hate running bushing inner sleeves in oval cam tab holes since you are only clamping the sleeve at the very top and bottom of the sleeve and everything gets marred up and deformed.
Won't drive any different but will be nice for prep/maintenance and for peace of mind.
Built a set of uppers with parallel heims since I'll be aligning off the upper now. Old ones I had converted from poly bushings so the heim angles weren't the best for adjustment.

Waiting on fiberglass fenders still to finish up the core support...

You know, if you'd build this shit in kit form and had an "add to cart" button I would have a lot less money and your builds would go faster. My hillbilly solution to the cam tab problem was to install nylatron bushings and weld the cam tabs solid (after an alignment).

Ha, the tabs I used I get from poly p and cut them down to fit.
I'm all about pre-cut tabs and brackets now, getting lazy.

The delrin/nylatron way is good too, bushings are so expensive though.
Kartek has some Delrin bushings that are 1.25 inner diameter that you could run 1.25" .250 inner sleeves on (for the big front cam bolt sleeve) that would have lots of surface area to dgaf about oval slotted cam tabs, but last time I checked they were $16 a half bushing.

I used some 9/16 all thread for a pivot jig line and cut one tab out at a time. That way i always had the other tab for reference for the spread between tabs.
Pretty tight in between tabs for the horizontal cut to get the old tabs out but I had a bunch of worn down cutting disks that fit between the two tabs, if that makes any sense.

These are the tabs I used, I use them a lot.

I have piles of tabs too, that's a good idea. I have heimed uppers now and when the nylatron wears out I'll probably end up with something similar. They weren't cheap, but I've got about 30K miles on them and they're still tighter than a skeeters ass in a nose dive.

Okay First Gen 2 Wheel drive Tacoma Owners with Total Chaos or Camburg Kits. I have talked to my good friend Aaron from LSK Suspension. I told him there is some interest in people like my self who have the TC or Camburg kit lower ball joint, that would like a uniball conversion on the lower. Problem is designing an adaptor with a stock spindle. So I said lets do a spindle. Now for this to happen we would like to get at least 5 people minimum for it to get going. No drawings yet, or precise details. But trying for a fully fabbed spindle, for the 2wd not sure on 4wd yet. Probably 2-3" Lift and wider 1-1.5" wider per side. Uniball Lower and upper with Hiemed Steering. Here is the kicker. It would not use the Oem Bearing, although how great it is but not easy to service. The spindle would use the Dana 44 Hubs retaining 6x5.5 Lug pattern, and hopefully Oem brakes, Or tundra. The Dana 44 is far more easily to get parts for new, and to service and replace. Which not to worry they are plenty strong and can withstand even 37" or taller tires. "Same hubs Solo uses on the second gen Race kit". I know there may not be alot of interested but looking to see if anybody wanted to get in on it.

i would be interested in getting a fabd spindle. i would most likely have to contact bonzen or someone with a jig for the ESB kit. my spindle is stock modified to retain 4wd right now. the lower doesnt seem to hard to convert for a uniball they just threw a bolt and welded it as it seems

There was never a spindle built by ESB for that kit, only the modified stock one

I would be interested as well. I know trac made some lower uniball adapters for their lt kit but they havent tried to market them seperately yet and I think a spindle with heim tabs built in would be much better.
also tundra brakes would defiently be a plus

Hmmmm, isn't that convenient. You sit and pick my brain on how I do my spindles on stuff I build and what not, then turn and feed all that info to LSK. How about you guys quit stealing other peoples ideas and the way they do things and actually think out of the box on your own for once. Yes It does take creativity and an imagination to do that. Don't worry I have the text messages to prove all that.
