That's the bushing that goes into the bottom of the top hat and the top shaft of the front shock. I emailed downsouthmotorsports.com (I bought them from them) about it.

I finally got my air compressor finished. I need a lower psi pressure switch. The one way check valve doesn't work at lower than 1CFM and when psi increases the valves closes and blows off.

Step one: remove junky wire nuts and relay, and add viair pressure switch/relay (I need a lower psi switch though).

The results are in. About 80-85 psi is where the cfm drops too low for this unloading check valve.

IIRC That switch is designed to be used on a tank, not in a small setup like you have. might look into a small 1-2 gallon tank for the switch, and it would allow a small air reserve for whatever could use it.

(edit) are you referring to the viair pressure switch? That's not the problem. It'd rated for 90/150psi. Which I can't hit because of the below.

The unloading check valve is blowing off pressure because the air flow drops below 1cfm.
The solutions that I can think of are increasing the cfm (larger compressor) or limiting the psi (lower psi pressure switch).

Okay, so you have a check valve that will dump air from the compressor before it goes into the system? i thought you meant the pressure switch was cutting the compressor early, which can happen with the unstable output from those type compressors. any reason for the check valve? if anything id go for a burst disk at the rated PSI over a check valve for a backup to the pressure switch if that's what its for.

The check valve is to allow the compressor to restart with 0 psi on the piston head while still holding pressure in the rest of the system, potentially extending the life of the compressor.

The compressor just isn't strong/big enough to produce the flow at higher psi.

ah, that makes more sense, sounds like you need moar beef in your compressor then.

Yep, or a lower cfm rated check valve, or a lower rated pressure switch.
