Why yellow top battery? Reviews I have been reading lately say newer optima don't have quite the same output that they carried in the past, and that they are selling their name more than the product.

If there is something better and more reliable, I would welcome that option/opinion. Currently, the installed Costco battery is almost 4yr old and we will just leave it at that...

Costco has a really good return policy. I took in a battery from my mom's truck and got it replaced under warranty when it wouldn't charge at something like 1 or 2 years old.

This is not my personal experience, but others on this forum have suggested a die hard battery as I recall over yellow top because the performance will be as good or better and it costs far less. I'll ask my stepdad as well. He used to drive a battery truck (delivery guy).

Edit: just heard from step dad. He said go with costco brand (Kirkland signature) battery. It is made by Johnson Controls which is the same as interstate batteries.

As far as batteries goes ive done a lot of research and ive found that the AGM batteries do the best and red top is not the king anymore. I still have two of them in my taco but next set I will buy will be from Interstate they came out with one that puts the red and yellow top to shame... but it's not cheap.

^^^ Meh. it doesn't even have a hood scoop. 9 years old as well even though it has ridiculously low miles.

I sold my parents' 91 Pathfinder for $2500 one year ago. It had 45K miles on it. I sometimes wonder if I should have kept that for myself as an off-road beater.

I know it's not much but here is my first off-road dent on this truck. Can't wait to beat up this bumper more and justify purchase of a high clearance. :D

I am headed down to Leavenworth this weekend with my wife. Do you guys know of any light off-road trails with a good RTT spot?

I caught the 24hr flu last night. Finally feeling better, but it meant I didn't make it to Oregon to fix the truck. Maybe I will try to knock it out this weekend... Just need to find someone who will compress springs for me.

OK you make it worded weird. There was a guy on here who decided to swap his turn signals to blue and found some extra LEO love :D
We have a Dodge Charger in town who did red halos on his front lights so it looks like he's coming at you in reverse. I freaking hate that vehicle.

I putted around where 97 and 12 meet. Try Derby Canyon Road.

It's all good :) I think it'll be subtle and unique, but I have to admit I'm nervous about the cracking the taillights open... And the painting, and the taping lol
I have done a Hid projector retrofit before that came out dope so I think I can handle it, just a matter of how long is this going to take haha.

Sears Diehard Platinum are Odyssey rebranded gel(AGM). Very good quality. I bought both of mine with a 20% off Sears coupon and paid less than $160 for each. Very happy with them.

24 hour flu or bottle flu from find the bottom of too many bottles? Go to autozone and use their spring compressor rental plan. I think it costs about $55 to buy but full refund when you return it. Easiest way is socket on drill or impact driver.

Flu. I don't drink during the week. And I won't touch those spring compressors. They are a death trap.
