Eh. Not a fan of that grille, really. Neither I am a fan of those black wheels with silver bead lock. I like the gunmetal variant of those wheels on a Baja. Mirrors with turn signals..... mmmaybe.

Black Tacoma badges are nice though. I would purchase them vs derping or painting mine.

I just checked in with a dealer locally that got one in, and they say it has the trans cooler and looks like every other trd tow package.

It's expensive. But most people with the off road package want color matched bumpers, grille, and lights instead of the chrome. And of course the hood scoop. How could I forget the hood scoop?! I think it looks great. Can't believe its $40,000.

personally i think black bumpers, grills, door handles, mirrors, fender flares, etc. are the best for an off road package. i don't like the chrome or color matched pieces.

That's some of the main reasons I bought a 2014 Baja instead of the Pro. The Pro has a lot of hype behind it - ie Toyota really pushed the advertising on it. The dealers are taking full advantage of that

The 2014 Baja was a footnote compared to Pro as far as Toyota pushing it, and I'm glad about that because when it's all said and done, the Pro is going for about $3 - $4k more than the Baja out the door - and I don't think it is an improvement in looks at all. [Skewp is kinda cool, but since Toyota redesigned the Offroad hoods in 2012 to be more aggressive, I can get by without it]

Will you verify it has the TRD tow pack when you see the truck?

How do you know what the pro is going for? New for new my estimate at my dealer was very comparable 14 vs. 15. Also, used baja prices aren't really discounted much, so it's hard to justify not getting the new 15 model... For me anyway.

I will when I see one, but I'm not going to go see that one (it's not mine).

No thanks. Toyota is going to have to make some meaningful changes to the Tacoma platform before I buy another one (mainly the engine)...especially if they're going to be asking top dollar.

As I've said on other posts, my next truck will probably be a 2018-ish Ford F150 if Toyota doesn't catch up with the pack before then. Until then I'll enjoy my simple/reliable/thirsty 2014 Tacoma.

Haha, 40k...uh no...how much extra is Toyota charging for that bug deflector? I wouldn't be surprised if its $500.

I want those side view mirrors/turn signals! Any idea if I can retrofit those on my 2014? (that doesn't have them?!)

Got my OEM bugshield from CB Toyota via Ebay, I think it was $108 shipped to my door step.

Yes I hate the bugshield, but I do a lot of highway and it keeps the leading edge of the hood free of sandblast and rock chips so I will always run one on any of my truck, regardless of the looks.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/342188-2015-tacoma-trd-pro-window-sticker.html

The OP of this thread has another thread regarding the window sticker. The MSRP is at $41K before $1K dealer markup - don't know if that is for accessories or what. OP said this price was without Tow Package. This one may have more options so maybe I'm not comparing apples to apples, but mine Baja does have a Tow Package.

My New Baja MSRP'd at $38.5K. I think dealers aren't going to budge on MSRP on the Pro due to all of the hype Toyota has created with advertising. They did none of that with the 2014 Baja. I got a decent amount off of my MSRP on the Baja - not as much as if I were buying an Offroad or Sport, But they did get the price where I expected it.

I don't think you could find a used Baja at this point. Those things get snapped up pretty quick and I've never seen one for sale used. I never even see other Baja's on the road, their fairly rare trucks. But that being said I do agree with you, I would go with a New Pro. But I don't like them as much as the Baja, they are pretty cool but seem quite a bit more expensive for what you get than a Baja.

I certainly wouldn't look down on anyone for buying one if that's what they wanted.
