We were having sushi dinner at Joss...The girlfriend's favorite place on main st.

 

We went to Osteria 177 - was really good. had a nice time here, toured the naval academy yesterday and just bummed around downtown.

How do you fight dust while waxing?

 

Take it somewhere not dusty

 

The dust is created by removing the wax silly.

 

What type of microfiber towel are you using? May I suggest this one.
Let me know if you want to try one out. I always have a few of them lying around.

That is a nice towel. What type of wax are you using? Sounds like you have to let the wax dry before removing it.

I sort of prefer the WOWO waxes. Wax On Wipe Off.

 

I use Mother's Cleaner wax with Carnuba....i leave it sit for about 15-20min before removing it

 

Did some reading and you should not apply a lot but a thin coat. Some reviews say to wipe off before drying but I think this review pretty much sums it up.

Great product! Leaves a deep gloss, versatile, quite easy to use. For the person with insufficient time but values shine and decent protection, this a great go-to product. Quite inexpensive, just apply it as thin as you can, allow to haze but not for too long, and this will be easy to remove. Depending on the amount of work needed, I use either a foam pad or microfiber applicator. Brings out metallic flakes on metallic paint, leaves deep, crisp and clear reflections.

I personally used Mothers products for a long time. Mothers makes the best over the counter products. Megs make a great product as well but Mothers seem to last longer.

 

I always apply it a little thick as i only get to do it 2-3 times a year....none of the other vehicles react this way...just mine. It escalates when i reach the cap

I was taught the Wax on.... Wax off method... works okay and the birds havent pooped on my truck since i waxed it, i guess they dont like the smell or something...

 

Odd for sure. Next time use a Mothers clay bar first before the cleaner wax.

 

Also, i managed to get down to see skygear on Sunday for my Auxiliary fuse box... his work is downright amazing, i highly recommend him for all your electrical need and questions.
