    so what if they were handed a tacoma, it's his dad's, or what.

    don't get me wrong i don't think anything should just be handed to a kid. they should have some responsibility, but i see nothing wrong with a kid driving around a newer vehicle as long as he has learned how to be responsible with it and pay for the expenses he induces.
