I think they look better like that, with no lip (or thin lip), but I'm biased :)

That is very interesting, I have always thought the Tacoma cab to be a little noisy, What material did you use? degree of difficulty? did it accomplish what you wanted it to? Thanks

It took 8 months to get the bumpers and rock sliders, was a long wait. The craftsman ship is excellent.

Not sure about OP but I have used Dynamat on 2 ACs ... along the back wall and back doors where there is absolutely no sound dampening ... easy afternoon ... peel and stick by rolling it on ... most difficult portion might have been the door panels .. pay close attention to upper seat belt positioning.

Made a big difference in my mind.

I used RaamMat - was suggested in several threads in the Audio forum here. And I added a layer of their Ensolite closed cell foam on top of this. Deadening material handles resonance, and the foam is another layer of sound block, and physical decoupling of vibration. Took me most of the day/afternoon. Pretty easy to pull all the interior, and I just pushed the carpet back.

I haven't driven much since applying - but I'd like to say I'm hearing a little difference. I'm doing a full audio system, and this was a prep stage to getting the whole install done. I am doing the doors inner and outer skins when I do my speaker swaps.

One day I'll pull the carpet for cleaning, and probably do a layer of sound absorber called Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) under there too.

The products are just peel and stick - use a roller or screwdriver handle to get it to lay in all the contours.

    Just getting started
Got my Leer 100XR installed at the end of last week. Fold down window, 2 windoors with sliding vents, keyless entry, Thule racks on top. Added 2 bike racks that have been hanging around my garage for a long time.

It took Leer about 5 weeks to deliver!

Finished my grill. Looks good enough. The piece the gave me was kinda cut at a slight angle to the grill pattern so I kinda fucked with it to try to line it up better and ended up taking too much grill away in one spot but it's not really visible just didn't leave much area to secure with glue. Which brings me to my next screwup... The glue I used sucked. Should have used something better. Oh well, live and learn. It's fine for now.

Finished the taillights. They aren't perfect only because I hit the inner lense when cutting apart (too deep, a common problem for me ;) but I don't think it's too noticable. No one else will have these at least.

Those look awesome. I would be worried about the legality of them though.

    Thanks guys
The blue is to match, they're legal except the reflectors, the LEDs will shine through just as bright as ever, and I live in Washington state, this isn't California haha. If I catch any heat I'll buy a couple small reflectors and mount them on the back truck sides somewhere. Still much more legal and safe then painting or wrapping the outside of the lense.

And just search black tail light mod, there's a couple write ups

Yours would look dope witha red accent of some sort, and cops woul hardly notice, my trucks black so I didn't want it washed out in all black, it's overrated and overdone, the blue breaks it up a bit, you'll see after I get them on the truck

    Need a retrofit now!

Wow, so many great mods here on the forum. I've been sittin' back here - going through this thread the past few days and I gotta say it has inspired me to to do a few myself. Right now I'm doing the grill mod on my '14 Taco.
