This thread really brings out the dumb in some people.

 

Texas rankings since 2010:

Preseason Final rankings
2010- 5. NR
2011- 24. NR
2012- 15. 19
2013- 15. NR

 

They're ranked 24th on the USA Today Poll...not that that's saying much. I don't think Texas is overrated at all this year. I haven't heard shit about them. I think Clemson played a great 1st half, but couldn't hang with Georgia in the last 2 quarters. I don't know what Richt says to them at halftime, but I want it on my iPhone so I can listen to it before I go to the gym! They always come out like beasts in the 2nd half. Anyway, I think the only other games Clemson will lose will be FSU and SC, leaving them with a 9-3 record. Maybe Georgia State will upset them lol (I go there...Go Panthers).

 

I was referring to the AP poll which is the one that counts lol

I see one season where the drop off is extreme..
Last year they were only ranked high because they had a good recruiting class (which they hardly used anyways)

Couldn't have said it better. They're one of the few ACC teams that actually pose a threat to real conference teams. Yes, I'm saying the ACC is the Cupcake conference

Sorry but dropping from 24 to NR isnt exactly huge and dropping from 15-19 isnt really a big deal either.

That's the past. You can't live off the glory of Vince young forever. I can admit when a team is good or not. Even you should be able to see that it's been a blessing for you that Texas and A&M haven't played the last two years.

 

Yup I'll admit you guys have been good the past couple years. But if I recall, you yourself were just referring to past Texas records . 76-37-5 vs A&M. Vince Young didnt do all of that. Even without the championship in 2005 Texas last nation championship was 1970, A&M hasnt won since 39..
