I was asking because found these pics I took. I seem to recall 20.5" but now.

 

Yeah, I get that but even within those, they list 5 or 6 valve diameters on the left column of the charts. That is what I was referring to.

Mine are 2.0s btw.

I didn't click the link because I'm on my phone but does it have anything to do with how the shims are stacked. ie in a typical pyramid stack the shims are stacked from largest diameter to smallest diameter. This gives it a more progessive valving that having 6 shims that are all the same diameter.

You can get more creative from there by stacking 2 of the same size large diameter shims, then 2 of the same size of the medium diameter and then 2 of the same size of the small diamater for a stiffer valving.

Or some really crazy stacks. Flutter and pyramid seem to be the most common though.

 

I'm not sure what all it means. I really would like to understand what the chart is saying tho. When you get the opportunity to open the links, I'd really like to hear your thoughts man.

 

Links give what the total shim thickness is. But he needs to know the diameter of his valve

 

Meh, I am very much an amateur when it comes to valving. Still trying to figure out how I want to do my rears.

But looking at the chart, it would appear they have preset valving stacks and just gave them numbers. I assume the numbers: .008 and .010 are the thickness of the shims in inches. And based on the diameters on the left they have all of them stacked largest diameter to smallest so no flutter stacks that I noticed. I have no idea what the top out value means though

HA! well that's why you buck Mike! Your valving is basically a 12 stack on reb and an 8 stack on comp if the 30 is comp and 70 is reb... (dont know what that + means next to the 30...) weird, at least it'll be easy to fix. the base shim sizes are a bit different between the two as well. My setup would definitely be too stiff for your truck but the puzzle is coming together

Very true but i'd hate to do them and then have mike rolling around in a lumber wagon LOL! May take two tries... the angle the shocks are at are the goofy part to the valving ideal for me

I thought the ones you got were the flush mount ones. These are the qube2 non-flush (not qube3). These are floods also.

I an curious if they will fit in the elite front fog location. The description says 3"x3"x3".

 

Yea same light though I am pretty sure.

I am sure you could make them fit. The problem with yours and mine is there is a 3" tunnel or barrel so to speak in the bumper. Makes it look great but makes it hard to fit odd lights.

But I don't see why the cubes wouldn't fit. Marc has some in his but his cut outs are for 4" fogs...aren't ours 3"? I don't remember..be back..

Yea ours are 4". So bet they will fit. May need to mod the bracket a bit but nbd really

 

Unfortunately, I broke one lens on one of my PIAAs, just kind of looking around at alternatives.

I don't think that visionx lamp is the direction I want to go. For one, it is a spot and I'm looking for light below the lowbeams. Besides, those are a lot of monies.

Yeah, our tunnels are 4" but a 3x3 square shape is still 4" measured diagonally so the rampages probably wont fit within the tunnel. Not that my 4" PIAAs do. Tim's mounting brackets are very poorly centered.
