Yea my piaas are cracked too and I remember yours got busted.

I agree the brackets are not..ideal..haha

The canons are pricey but damn I want haha figure with those and my lf240s be a great driving combo.

So it would take a bit of..massaging I'm sure to fit them...and not gonna lie. Taking your front bumper off is not something I would be looking forward too hahaha

 

My PIAA is more than cracked. It has 1/4" diameter hole in the lens. Enough to let in water and of course, bust the bulb.

That front bumper was a bitch. I remember.

So, our last night on the trail, last Saturday night, we camped in the Red Rocks Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. It had started raining that afternoon and continued on basically all night, sometimes really hard rain.

In the morning, it continued to rain and we had to pack up camp in the rain. Meaning I had to close up the RTT really wet. That normally is not that big of a deal as long as it is possible to opening it up soon and air it out. Unfortunately I could not do that until today.

There was lots of mold on all of the bedding. The tent itself is was damp but no mold. I have been washing all of my bedding all day.

 

Yikes. That is way to long though to let it go without airing out. Bummer man.

I knew that but sometimes circumstances work against you. I am not going to not camp in the rain. Just have to live with the consequences.

I mostly brought this up so others will know it can happen and it is not the end of the world. Just a pain in the ass.

Eh..not really. Walls are still canvas. Plus most the moisture is from you yourself. So you'll still have to do normal RTT upkeep. I'm sure they do a bit better in bad weather however

 

Yea but the inside will have moisture too. That's the bad part.

 

All mold was on the inside. On the bedding. However, during the night and in the morning, there was no moisture from rain on the inside. I can only speculate that the moisture was trapped on closing up. It must have come from the moisture that was on the rain fly and on the outside of the tent.

 

That and from your body.

This is true. The tops of the pillows had a lot of the mold. But that moisture is always there and does not normally cause a mold issue.

I still suspect the core issue is closing up with all of the moisture on the rain fly.
