It could be. But it won't close even with only one regular pillow in it...

Yes. On the part of the tent that is stationary. Not the hinge side, but the other side.

I have a couple of pillows and a sleeping bag in mine. When prepping to close up, I first move the pillows to the outside of the stationary part of the tent. Then fasten the bungee cords-there are four of them. Next, I fold the sleeping bag in half keeping it on the stationary side. Now fold the tent. You need to be sure it's tucked in so it will fold down properly. Then use the two velcro straps to secure the tent in the down position. Put the cover on and you're good to go.

If you have a large sleeping bag (as big as the tent floor), it may not fit because of the added bulk of the bag. In that case, you'll have to fold it up and store it elsewhere.

That's exactly how I'm doing it :notsure: I'll try it again in two weeks. I have a week long fishing trip starting the 7th so I gotta have it for that. Don't want to risk doing more damage to the zipper before I leave for the trip.

You sure you're using the 2 Velcro straps on the outside of the tent to hold it closed? As long as you're using those and pull them tight to hold the tent closed all the way, there should be no problem.

I don't store stuff in it long term, but if were camping multiple nights I leave 2 sleeping bags, 2 pillows, a sheet, and a blanket in the tent. (CVT Mt bachelor) and it closes fine. I also keep my 3 sided annex attached at all times.

Yep using both Velcro straps. I wonder if the anti condensation mat is getting stuck in the hinge preventing it from closing all the way. I didn't notice any indication of that but I'll check next time I open the tent.

It could. Remember that adds ~1/2 inch of material that's not terribly compressive either. Definitely make sure it's not bound up.

I have one of those two person bags in there and two pillows (thick 0* bag). It barely closes as it is. Going on another trip later this month and gonna try to add in the anti-cond mat and see if it all fits

I got 2 sleeping bags in mine, pillow, blanket, and the anti condensation mat. Still closes fine. But the Tepui cover does have a lot of slack.

just a heads up for rtt owners. make sure you check the bolts that hold the rail to the tent every so often. I unbolted the tent from my old bed rack, lifted the tent up, and the rail came right off the tent. The nuts in the rail were not stripped and were nylocks, but they still vibrated out. The other rail was loose. Eventually those would have come loose, potentially allowing the tent to fly off. I think I am going to replace the nuts with distorted thread hex nuts and a dab of locktight for extra insurance.

That's actually my tent. Eddy now has one too. They're stacked on top of one another on his porch. Hopefully they'll both get installed this weekend.
