I am gonna put this naza on the 680 and run arduino on this one, or when I get done I will just sell it as is and get another naza. This is my first build so I am just experimenting really. The frame was only $30? so if something catastrophic happens to it, no biggie lol

Almost ready for the maiden ... buuuuuuuut hit a snag. Connected the naza to the futaba receiver and was trying to calibrate the controls with my laptop but the program won't acknowlege the radio control's input. The receiver recognizes the radio (LED goes from red to green when I turn it on and off) but the controls won't recognize the stick and lever movement. Any tips or advice? I think I am about to make a thread on rc forums, all I can find is pixhawk issues, not naza. :goingcrazy:

So I lost my first hubsan x4, waiting for a new one to come in sometime next week. It's so small I lost track of which direction it was going and it flew over the woods and is now gone.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any GPS Chips that link to an app or something, so that I can at least find it next time

How did I know I would find you here Colin? :)

Long story short, I will be building a house in the next few months and have been eyeballing the DJI phantom to take weekly progress pictures with my gopro. I'm looking for something that just works, this will not be a hobby down the road (at least I hope not) and will see the occasional use here and there. Am I looking in the right direction or should I consider other options?

A phantom will suit you just fine. You could get a little more technical and mount a gimbal to use with the gopro, or just a regular sticky-backed piece of tape will work.

In other news I have dialed in my 550 and got the props spinning right. Maiden flight might be tonight.

It looks pretty good. I found out I cannot use the s-bus feature on my 10J with the naza m lite. This radio/rx and fc does not work together properly. I am not the only one with this issue either. :pout: Had to wire everything up traditionally.

    :D :spy:

Phantom for sure for out of the box, ready to go. we actually have phantoms on a number of our construction sites for the same purpose. we toss them up a few hundred feet, take a few photos google earth style, and bring them righ back down. quick, simple, and efective.

Thanks for the green light guys. Anything I should be aware of like "you're going to need extra batteries" or "don't bother flying it in the wind"?

I would buy 3 or 4 batteries so you can fly for at least 30 min. Check the wind speed on a weather app, avoid anything above 15 mph winds.. maybe even 10 but in gps mode it's pretty steady in constant wind

Damn, that sucks! I originally had everything wired per channel. I only just recently learned what PPM is... I think I'm on version 5 of my 550 and will be switching to PPM since I just got my Naze32. I haven't heard ov anyone having problems with my setup FrSky X8R receiver and Naze32.
