    Well the largest undeveloped uranium deposit in the US, and the seventh largest in the world was discovered in Virginia. It is worth 8 billion dollars. Due to state laws, nothing past surveying can take place: no extraction, milling, etc. A company that came to a few of my classes, Virginia Uranium, is working on the legislation and the steps that lead up to extraction.

    For anyone interested I wrote a paper as my final exam last semester on the subject.
